Gwyneth Paltrow releases the detox diet for 2016 on Goop. The plan is to get rid of the winter fat. Goop says: “People often starve themselves in the name of detoxification. The goal here is to get healthy while eating well”
This year, users may have to skip the following:
- Gluten
- Dairy
- Soy
- White sugar
- Shellfish
- Red meat
- White rice
- Nightshades (peppers, tomatoes, potatoes)
- And corn
Coffee lovers may feel caffeine deprived. But it is hoped that following up with this detox plan would assure that users would not feel deprived of anything.
In context to the diet plan, the website says “Key to good detoxification is sweating” however this year they explain why some individuals may have to reduce the intensity at which they workout. Walking and yoga have been suggested as a better alternative.
Gwyneth’s detox diet for 2016 comes with a 7 day plan that users can extend to as many days as possible. Start with the Surya spa tea that aids in detoxification of the kidney, cleansing of the blood and aiding digestion. This is followed by the Chia pudding, with salmon burgers. For lunch, a nice Asian salad and for the dinner, kale curry with chickpea and brown rice. For a mid-day snack, go for a nice GP’s smoothie.
